Commencement Approaches!

Hello friends! I have been quiet because I am working hard to finish my current class to prepare for my commencement. I will drive my mom and two kids from KC to Virginia NEXT WEEK! I originally wanted to fly, but that limited how many people could go (each plane ticket costs $800), whereas the drive is only 15 hours, and I can take however many people are willing to sit in the car. Yes, it’s long, but I love driving and it gives me time to chat with my mom.

Unfortunately, I am not quite done. The university is letting me walk next week, but I still have two more courses to complete in the summer. I am told this is a rare occurrence, making me simultaneously excited and anxious. But I have already enrolled in and paid for the last two courses, which is why (I think) it got approved.

If you want to watch and cheer me on, there are two sessions. The first (and the most important one in my opinion) is the School of Divinity commencement on May 8th at 2 PM Eastern Time. This is important because that is where they will call my name and give me my approval certificate (not my diploma, of course). Next, the main commencement will be on Friday at 7 PM Eastern. This one is where we will have the commencement address by the Virginia Governor and a concert by a yet-unnamed CCM band. They will NOT call anyone’s names because the class is over 26,000. You can watch either of these here: https://liberty.edu/commencement/livestreams.

I’ll see you on the other side!
